Ravi Mohan Sethi – Chairman

Mr. Sethi joined the Indian Administrative Service (IAS) in 1970 and took premature retirement in 1996 to establish the Stellar Group. During his 26 years in Government service, he held senior, policy-making positions and served as Chief Executive for various organizations within the Government of India and the State Government of U.P.

His positions included Managing Director of the U.P. Financial Corporation and PICUP, Joint Secretary for the Ministry of Agriculture, Government of India, and Private Secretary to the Minister of Industry. He also taught at the National Academy of Administration, Mussoorie.

Mr. Sethi holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics, Political Science & English Literature and a Master’s in Political Science, both from the University of Allahabad. He was the first Hubert Humphrey Fellow from India, studying Management & Economics at the University of Boston, USA.

Akshay Mohan Sethi – Director

Mr. Akshay returned to India in 2008 to join the Stellar Group of Companies. Prior to his return, he worked at McKinsey & Company in their New York office as a strategy consultant, developing business transformation strategies for Fortune 500 clients across the retail, media, and banking industries.

Previously, he worked at the World Bank in Washington D.C., helping develop public policies on health, education, and labor market reform in Europe and Central Asia. He holds an MBA with High Honors from the University of Chicago, Booth School of Business, where he was awarded the Siebel Scholarship. He also holds a degree in Industrial Engineering from Bangalore University.

Mr. Akshay has served as President of the Chicago Booth Alumni Club of India and is on the Governing Council of the Construction Skill Development Council of India.
